They can run a Challenge Rift anytime during the week. Most players have Normal and Hardcore Characters in non-Season. You can only collect a Challenge Rift Cache In a Game Mode where at least ONE CHARACTER ALREADY EXISTS. The Challenge Rift Cache is sent to your ACCOUNT through your in-game mail. If we can do that, we are rewarded a Challenge Rift Cache. The goal, to successfully complete the Challenge Rift, is to match or beat the original player’s time. When we run a Challenge Rift, we are using that player’s Character, not ours. The time it took them to successfully complete that Greater Rift is also recorded. We get that player’s Character, their exact Greater Rift and the exact Maps and monsters. Blizzard has taken a snapshot of a Greater Rift that was run by that player with that Character build.You ARE playing a Character and build created by SOMEONE ELSE, at some point in time.Not on Normal, Hardcore, Season or non-Season. You are NOT playing ANY of YOUR Characters.
